Stomach Bug Phoenix January 2010

solos

OK. I watched 9 of SMAP concerts (from 1999 - 2010) in the reverse time order O__o. There's suddenly a desire to rank the best solo performance for each member

. Well, personally, of course

Nakai: Memory~ June (2010)

I'm not usually (uh, almost never '___') impressed by his songs themselves, so that explains why I hardly remember the names of the songs except last year's one and

Toilet Paper Man ビックリマーク . I'm confused a bit between this and 2008's one, coz he was sooooooo beautiful there I even think there will be no other performance else can beat it

. BUT, the dance last year won hands out @__@. I had flailed, let's see, a whole week or so about this one, so no need to repeat those nonsense here. It's not the point of this entry anyway.

If I start to choose scenes from that, it will end up to another gifspam post for sure, so this moment instead, which was perfectly sweet, too

Kimura:

Style (2008)

ビックリマーク I thought the one last year defeated this already but, no,

Style
is still my favorite

. I love how stylish and joyful Kimura's dance was, also the general atmosphere between him and the rest of the dancers. Love how he danced fantastically and looked like he didn't even have to try so hard >__<. He seemed having fun to do that, instead. !!

!! Actually about the song. I quite like

Kimi no Mama de
. The lyrics really sounded like the father talked to his daughter and it moved me. So I think it didn't go with the performance ^"^ (which included all the hot moves and seduction). People said it may have double meaning, but, still, I want to think of it more as father-daughter's love. So I prefer

Style ドキドキ . Goro:

L.O.V.E (2006) ラブラブ

Jazz seems to suit his style, doesn't it? ^^ Lovely and gentlemen-like as Goro himself

. And it fits his voice, too, which is gentle and a little bit girly IMO

. In the concerts before this I always feel his solos are quite plain and boring (gomen, Goro-chan >_<), coz I'm not a music fan and not fond of the songs themselves in such long concerts. But this performance is just so lively and cute

. I got surprised the first time I watched it ビックリマーク . Goro played around and did some magic and it was a lot of fun

. He did this style again in last year's concert, ne, but somehow L.O.V.E is still more artistic and adorable to me

!!

Tsuyoshi:

Shall We Tap (2003)

The champion of all other solos in MIJ >__<. I love the tap dance so much so much so much >__<. Not mention the song was nice, too. Tsuyopon was so cool with his dance, and the arrangement of the dancers in that performance was just perfect

. Again, I thought his solo from WAS was extremely cute and interesting and great and everything, but the fact is maybe that's an effect of SMAP's backdance ビックリマーク . So if I have to choose the most awesome Tsuyopon's true solo, it must be this one

ドキドキ ドキドキ ドキドキ Shingo:

No Way Out (2010)

Shingo's solos to me are all quite equal to one another

. There was no performance made me feel specially good. Of course all of them were very well-done. The latest one was very "Shingo"
. All catchy and childish and playful
. This is the only song among the solos that I liked right the time I heard this album . Shingo's fashion sense was a bit... ^"^. But, well, it was also a part of his creativity, ne

Look forward to this year's concert and hope some of the new solos can steal the spot of these ones
